Straz Strong Foundation – Community Grant Application

The Straz Strong Foundation is committed to empowering communities through adaptive sports. As part of this mission, we are proud to offer Community-Based Grants of up to $5,000 to support the purchase of adaptive sport equipment. These grants are designed to help local programs expand opportunities, remove barriers, and achieve their goals of making sports more inclusive for all.

The 2025 application window will be open from September 1st to October 1st. Eligible community programs are encouraged to apply during this period by outlining their goals, describing how adaptive sport equipment will support participants, and demonstrating the impact this funding will create.

Review Criteria: Applications will be assessed on the strength of their community impact, the number of participants who will benefit, and the program’s potential to build inclusive opportunities for adaptive sport.

Through this initiative, the Straz Strong Foundation continues its commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities where everyone has the chance to play, grow, and thrive.

Straz Strong Foundation – High Performance Grant Program

The Straz Strong Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals striving to reach new heights and achieve their personal bests through sports. To support this commitment, we are now offering High Performance Grants of up to $7,500, designed to provide athletes with access to personalized adaptive sport equipment tailored to their specific needs.

The 2025 application window will be open from September 1st to October 1st. Eligible athletes are encouraged to apply during this period by outlining their goals, describing how the grant will support their growth, and demonstrating the impact this funding will have on their performance and development.

Review Criteria: Applications will be assessed on an individual potential, commitment to training and performance, and how the equipment will directly support achieving personal bests and competitive goals.

Turning Point Documentary Series

In addition to financial support, selected High Performance Grant recipients may be invited to take part in the Turning Point documentary series. This initiative showcases the journeys of athletes supported by the foundation, highlighting their resilience, dedication, and progress as they work toward their goals. Applicants who are comfortable sharing their story on camera may be chosen to participate. (This opportunity may expand to community grant recipients in the future.)
